Conservation Commission

Brief: Replace an outdated website so users could access large amounts of information and reports that were previously poorly categorised and presented. This meant it was extremely difficult for anyone not familiar with the Conservation Commission to find the information they needed on specific conservation issues.

Solution: The Conservation Commission previously only categorised its published information by one specific issue or area per document. This could potentially make finding information confusing and time consuming as most documents commonly contain information on several issues.

Clarity created an intuitive tag system to categorise and access the vast amount of information to be published online. The new system is based on each document's content instead of single issues. For example, website users can now search under multiple categories within a document such as; 'forest management', 'fire' and 'disease management', greatly reducing overall search time.

Results: The new website design and information management system gives the Conservation Commission the flexibility it needs to add and change information on the site. Importantly, it means they now have a wider online audience with people ranging from students, environmentalists, professionals and the public having quick and easy access to conservation related information.
