Brief: Assist Magellan to establish and promote a community fund to distribute $1 million to Esperance community projects over three years, as part of the company's commitment to the town following a lead pollution incident.

Solution: To mark the third and final round of Magellan Metal's Community Fund, we coordinated an event for key stakeholders. The breakfast in Esperance was an opportunity for local stakeholders to find out more about the latest projects supported by the fund and for Magellan to say thank you to the local committee members for their work in disbursing funds. Clarity coordinated the event, bringing together a broad range of local community representatives and generating local media coverage around the Magellan Community Fund.

Results: A range of projects in and around Esperance have benefited from the fund over three years, including local sporting groups, emergency services, arts and cultural associations. Ten community organisations were selected to receive a total of more than $236,000 from the final year of funding.

At the breakfast, Magellan Metals announced a donation of approximately $70,000 from the fund to the Shire of Esperance toward the foreshore development project.

Promotion of the fund ensured a substantial number of applications that have resulted in a wide range of essential commnity projects being funded.
