Brief: Create a communications strategy to launch Miners' Promise, a not-for-profit legacy scheme for resource workers in Western Australia.
Solution: The Miners' Promise project is a great example of internal collaboration at Clarity as it involved every area of the business, from graphic design to web design to public relations.
As Miners' Promise was a new organisation, the design team created a look and feel for the brand and implemented it across all marketing collateral, which included brochures, application forms, business cards and letterheads.
Next the web team created an easy to navigate website, which included information about Miners' Promise as well as the application forms that prospective members can download.
Finally, the PR team put in action a media strategy to launch Miners' Promise and communicate why it is important for resource workers to become members of the legacy scheme.
Results: Miners' Promise was launched to media on 4 June 2010 and it was officially launched to the resource industry at the Mining Club lunch on 29 July 2010. At the lunch, it was also announced that Miners' Promise would be carrying out a project called Miners' Tribute, a public monument that will be built to celebrate and pay respect to the resource industry's contribution to WA.
Coverage for both launches was significant and included radio and TV interviews with key Miners' Promise spokespeople as well as a considerable number of newspaper articles.
