The Brief

We were asked to breathe new life into the company’s print and digital annual reporting tools, including the annual report, shareholder review, sustainability report and a digital sustainability report.


The Approach

Breaking from the formal structures of previous reporting, we developed a design style that reconnects the reports with the people who are touched by Wesfarmers’ services in daily life.

By listening to the team at Wesfarmers and understanding their business, we were able to look at the reporting structure in a fresh light and develop designs that were appealing and accessible to the broad range of company stakeholders.

We approached the style guide in a different way and were able to use colour, space, imagery and technology to provide a very fresh look for the company. The refreshed approach engages the viewer in the story of the business, providing a compelling insight into the people, the results, future and sustainable manner in which the company operates.


The Results

Working with Wesfarmers over the last three years has been a journey of refinement. We have been able to work closely with the Wesfarmers team to really delve into the brand and help evolve the process to deliver a beautiful and functional suite of reports.

The annual report is a beautiful and compelling document to hold and read, while the fully responsive digital platform provides rich content, multimedia tools and interactive graphs and information in a quick and easy to use format that responds across all devices.
