Media shapes how organisations are seen, trusted and judged. A clear media strategy sets your focus – what you want to be known for, who you need to reach and how your story should land. Strong media relations then turn that strategy into action through clear narratives, disciplined execution and trusted relationships.
Media Strategy and Relations
Clarity helps organisations plan and manage media in a way that builds reputation, supports business objectives and stands up to scrutiny.
Media strategy – Sets the direction
We help define the story you need to tell, the audiences that matter and the key points of visibility and scrutiny. We then align angles, spokespeople, proof points, channels and timing so media activity is focused and effective.
Media relations – How that strategy comes to life
We translate priorities and angles into clear pitches, briefings and coverage – managing outreach, messaging and spokesperson preparation so stories land in the right places at the right time.
We focus on preparation and process – clear messages, agreed approvals and the right spokespeople – so media coverage is accurate, credible and supports reputation.
Our recent experience includes:
Media Management for a major property development
- Working with a large property developer to manage media activity associated with a contentious project in WA’s South West. Clarity ensured that every enquiry received a timely response with agreed key messages, FAQ’s, spokespeople were prepped, and coverage remained accurate and balanced throughout.
Community launch for a membership organisation
- Unveiling a new community asset for a membership-based organisation, we ran on-the-ground media support: including a shared map of the site and event timings, organised the CEO, the Mayor and member representatives for photos and short interviews and grab moments. We prepared short member quotes and guided walk-throughs for journalists. The result was strong local coverage, widely used mayoral grabs, and positive community voices across print, online and radio lifting awareness and member pride.
Media event management and government relations for a global space agency
- Working with a major space organisation, we’ve supported its Australian presence end-to-end, from the original community consultation to ongoing liaison with State and Federal governments on the strategic value of WA’s space industry, plus regular publicity for deep-space missions – culminating in a global event that brought leading space representatives to WA. Clarity’s role – making complex science accessible, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring visibility when it matters.
Proactive media program through statutory approvals
- Supporting a global creator of lifestyle destinations with an always-on media program throughout State planning and approvals processes. We built relationships with business, property and lifestyle reporters, planned story moments ahead of time, and anchored the narrative around Australia’s largest next-generation recreation precinct and the company’s exclusive technology across key cities in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Fiji. We supplied briefs, images and Q&As, kept to key messages during sensitive moments, and coordinated media internationally building credibility for the project ahead of construction.
Major capital announcement – Health investment
- We worked with a well-known health and research organisation to lead a theatre-redevelopment announcement with a news-led headline, framed around what changes for patients and a complete asset pack (spokesperson briefs, photography, Q&As and timing). Resulting in consistent metro and business coverage, breakfast radio interviews, and stakeholder channels reusing this content to further lift visibility and reinforce trust.
