Effective stakeholder management protects reputation, supports better decisions and reduces risk.
Stakeholder Management
Clarity helps organisations identify, understand and manage the stakeholders who influence outcomes, including regulators, elected members, partners, investors, employees and community leaders. Our work focuses on anticipating issues early, aligning leadership responses and ensuring stakeholder considerations are built into decision-making, not treated as an afterthought.
We work with organisations operating under scrutiny, where stakeholder expectations, public accountability and political context directly affect performance and licence to operate.
What we do
We help organisations to:
- Identify, map and prioritise stakeholders based on influence, risk and impact.
- Assess stakeholder expectations and potential pressure points.
- Develop stakeholder strategies aligned to governance, approvals and decision-making pathways.
- Anticipate and manage emerging issues before they escalate.
- Support leaders with clear advice on engagement, timing and escalation.
Our approach
Stakeholder management works best when it is disciplined and proactive:
- We take an issues-led, risk-based view of stakeholders, grounded in local context.
- Advice is practical, timely and tailored to leadership and board needs.
- The focus is on clarity, consistency and judgement – particularly in high-pressure environments.
Our recent experience includes:
- Partnering with a state government authority to map and analyse stakeholders, then developing a communications and engagement strategy, including narrative, messaging, channels and approach, to strengthen relationships and respond to stakeholder priorities
- Working with a large property developer to manage engagement on a contentious project in WA’s South West. Clarity ensured communication was transparent, issues were addressed early, and stakeholder relationships were managed respectfully throughout an intensive public approvals process
